GFIW: Xochitl corn chips, April 5

Xochitl corn chips are the bestest corn chips ever! Well, technically, they call these chips totopos de maiz, and they are gluten-free and addicting! These chips are made with non-GMO corn and say they are gluten-free right on the package. All of their products including their salsas and queso dip are gluten-free, non-GMO, preservatives-free and trans fat-free.

The package is similar to the packaging of other brands out there, but don't mistake them. I sometimes find these chips in the ethnic food aisle of some stores and with organic chips at others.

They are thin and crispy, and available salted or unsalted. I like salted. I bet you won't be able to stop at 10...or 20.... I like to snack on them with my homemade roasted tomatillo salsa that I make weekly and keep in fridge for snacking.

  1. Anne,

I LOVE those chips! So light and crispy, they remind me of the tortilla chips from Chili's, which I used to love back in my gluten days.

  2. I love these chips, but lately they have been making me very sick. Not sure if they are manufactured where gluten products are also manufactured, but just something to be careful with!

  3. Great chips, and no PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED OILS or GMO's. Don't see a problem with the bag. We just roll it closed and fasten with a "bag clip" or clothes pin.
