It does not alter the flavor at all and they are consistently fluffy and evenly cooked. Celiac patients can tolerate corn and even though the starch is a very refined byproduct, I only use a minuscule amount of it and it does the trick fabulously. cristinahttp://nectarnc.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2973476220812537713.post-90701580294122797822015-06-04T16:05:54.868-04:002015-06-04T16:05:54.868-04:00I guess everyone will do what is comfortable for t...I guess everyone will do what is comfortable for them. I cheat on the diet on vacation (about a two week block each year). As a college student, social eating is a part of life and turning down every available snack (even fruit, because I don't know that it hasn't been handled by someone who ate wheat) has definitely been awkward. Not having to spend my college experience in bed with glutened symptoms has made all of the awkwardness worth it though! collegeceliackchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01388041860986251588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2973476220812537713.post-77460645999160125642014-01-10T14:46:03.996-05:002014-01-10T14:46:03.996-05:00How insensitive I feel so frustrated for you. I'll make it soon for a 65th celebration! Our travel in NZ was better than I hoped for with a celiac diet and that was 10 years ago. Imagine it is even better these days. Now that I know that I have Celiac Disease, I eat gluten-free cookies, which cannot compare to my grandma's. So today my favorite treat would have to be pie made with a crust formed from crushed gluten-free cookies.

Check out my gluten-free show on YouTube: Go GF Yourself with Brent Jones! My mum is an excellent cook and when I had to go gluten-free she adapted quite well, so she provides many options to choose from in this department every year. However, I think if I DID have to choose one favorite...okay, okay, I can't pick one, but two. If I narrowed it down to two, it would be the gumdrop cookies and the Christmas Morning cinnamon rolls. All gluten-free, of course.
